Early voting in New Mexico is off to a brisk start and Democrats are outperforming Republicans and Independents at the polls. Saturday’s numbers show 56% of ballots cast by Democrats, 29% by Republicans, and 15% by Independents.
I wrote my column Friday, and was working with Thursday’s numbers. I share my thoughts on the boring parts: the judges, the constitutional amendments, and the bond issues. Just because they aren’t at the top of the ballot doesn’t mean they aren’t important.
